1. దావీదు కుమారుడైన సొలొమోను తన రాజ్యమందు స్థిరపరచబడగా అతని దేవుడైన యెహోవా అతనితో కూడ ఉండి అతనిని బహు ఘనుడైన రాజునుగా చేసెను.

1. Solomon, David's son, became a powerful king, because the Lord his God was with him and made him very great.

2. యెహోవా సేవకుడైన మోషే అరణ్యమందు చేయించిన దేవుని సమాజపు గుడారము గిబియోనునందుండెను గనుక

2. Solomon spoke to all the people of Israel -- the commanders of a hundred men and of a thousand men, the judges, every leader in all Israel, and the leaders of the families.

3. సొలొమోను సహస్రాధిపతులకును శతాధిపతులకును న్యాయాధిపతులకును ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల పితరుల యిండ్లకు పెద్దలైనవారి కందరికిని, అనగా ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకందరికిని ఆజ్ఞ ఇయ్యగా సమాజకులందరును

3. Then Solomon and all the people with him went to the place of worship at the town of Gibeon. God's Meeting Tent, which Moses the Lord's servant had made in the desert, was there.

4. సొలొమోనుతో కూడ కలసి గిబియోనునందుండు బలిపీఠము నొద్దకు పోయిరి; దావీదు దేవుని మందసమును కిర్యత్యారీమునుండి తెప్పించి యెరూషలేమునందు దానికొరకు గుడారమువేసి తాను సిద్ధపరచిన స్థలమున నుంచెను.

4. David had brought the Ark of God from Kiriath Jearim to Jerusalem, where he had made a place for it and had set up a tent for it.

5. హూరు కుమారుడైన ఊరికి పుట్టిన బెసలేలు చేసిన యిత్తడి బలిపీఠము అక్కడ యెహోవా నివాసస్థలము ఎదుట ఉండగా సొలొమోనును సమాజపువారును దానియొద్ద విచారణ చేసిరి.

5. The bronze altar that Bezalel son of Uri, who was the son of Hur, had made was in Gibeon in front of the Holy Tent. So Solomon and the people worshiped there.

6. సమాజపు గుడారము ముందర యెహోవా సన్నిధినుండి ఇత్తడి బలిపీఠము నొద్దకు సొలొమోను పోయి దానిమీద వెయ్యి దహనబలులను అర్పించెను.

6. Solomon went up to the bronze altar in the presence of the Lord at the Meeting Tent and offered a thousand burnt offerings on it.

7. ఆ రాత్రియందు దేవుడు సొలొమోనునకు ప్రత్యక్షమైనేను నీకు ఏమి ఇయ్యగోరుదువో దాని అడుగుమని సెలవియ్యగా

7. That night God appeared to Solomon and said to him, 'Ask for whatever you want me to give you.'

8. సొలొమోను దేవునితో ఈలాగు మనవిచేసెనునీవు నా తండ్రియైన దావీదుయెడల బహుగా కృప చూపి అతని స్థానమందు నన్ను రాజుగా నియమించి యున్నావు గనుక

8. Solomon answered, 'You have been very kind to my father David, and you have made me king in his place.

9. దేవా యెహోవా, నీవు నా తండ్రియైన దావీదునకు చేసిన వాగ్దానమును స్థిరపరచుము; నేల ధూళియంత విస్తారమైన జనులమీద నీవు నన్ను రాజుగా నియమించియున్నావు

9. Now, Lord God, may your promise to my father David come true. You have made me king of a people who are as many as the dust of the earth.

10. ఈ నీ గొప్ప జనమునకు న్యాయము తీర్చ శక్తిగలవాడెవడు? నేను ఈ జనులమధ్యను ఉండి కార్యములను చక్కపెట్టునట్లు తగిన జ్ఞానమును తెలివిని నాకు దయచేయుము.

10. Now give me wisdom and knowledge so I can lead these people in the right way, because no one can rule them without your help.'

11. అందుకు దేవుడు సొలొమోనుతో ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చెనునీవు ఈ ప్రకారము యోచించు కొని, ఐశ్వర్యమునైనను సొమ్మునైనను ఘనతనైనను నీ శత్రువుల ప్రాణమునైనను దీర్ఘాయువునైనను అడుగక, నేను నిన్ను వారిమీద రాజుగా నియమించిన నా జనులకు న్యాయము తీర్చుటకు తగిన జ్ఞానమును తెలివిని అడిగి యున్నావు.

11. God said to Solomon, 'You have not asked for wealth or riches or honor, or for the death of your enemies, or for a long life. But since you have asked for wisdom and knowledge to lead my people, over whom I have made you king,

12. కాబట్టి జ్ఞానమును తెలివియు నీ కియ్య బడును, నీకన్న ముందుగానున్న రాజులకైనను నీ తరువాత వచ్చు రాజులకైనను కలుగని ఐశ్వర్యమును సొమ్మును ఘనతను నీకిచ్చెదను అని చెప్పెను.

12. I will give you wisdom and knowledge. I will also give you more wealth, riches, and honor than any king who has lived before you or any who will live after you.'

13. పిమ్మట సొలొమోను గిబియోనులోనుండు సమాజపు గుడారము ఎదుటనున్న బలిపీఠమును విడచి యెరూషలేమునకు వచ్చి ఇశ్రాయేలీ యులను ఏలుచుండెను.

13. Then Solomon left the place of worship, the Meeting Tent, at Gibeon and went back to Jerusalem. There King Solomon ruled over Israel.

14. సొలొమోను రథములను గుఱ్ఱపు రౌతులను సమ కూర్చెను, వెయ్యిన్ని నాలుగువందలు రథములును పండ్రెండు వేల గుఱ్ఱపు రౌతులును అతనికి ఉండెను; వీరిలో కొందరిని అతడు రథములుండు పట్టణములలో ఉంచెను, కొందరిని తన రాజసన్నిధిని ఉండుటకు యెరూషలేములో ఉంచెను.

14. Solomon had fourteen hundred chariots and twelve thousand horses. He kept some in special cities for the chariots, and others he kept with him in Jerusalem.

15. రాజు యెరూషలేమునందు వెండి బంగారములను రాళ్లంత విస్తారముగాను, సరళ మ్రానులను షెఫేల ప్రదేశముననున్న మేడిచెట్లంత విస్తారముగాను సమకూర్చెను.

15. In Jerusalem Solomon made silver and gold as plentiful as stones and cedar trees as plentiful as the fig trees on the western hills.

16. సొలొమోనునకుండు గుఱ్ఱములు ఐగుప్తులోనుండి తేబడెను, రాజు వర్తకులు ఒక్కొక్క గుంపునకు నియామకమైన ధర నిచ్చి గుంపులు గుంపులుగా కొని తెప్పించిరి.

16. He imported horses from Egypt and Kue; his traders bought them in Kue.

17. వారు ఐగుప్తునుండి కొని తెచ్చిన రథమొకటింటికి ఆరువందల తులముల వెండియు గుఱ్ఱమొకటింటికి నూటఏబది తులముల వెండియు నిచ్చిరి; హిత్తీయుల రాజులందరికొరకును సిరియా రాజులకొరకును వారు ఆ ధరకే వాటిని తీసికొనిరి.

17. They imported chariots from Egypt for about fifteen pounds of silver apiece, and horses cost nearly four pounds of silver apiece. Then they sold the horses and chariots to all the kings of the Hittites and the Arameans.
