1. హిజ్కియా యేలనారంభించినప్పుడు ఇరువది యయిదేండ్లవాడై యిరువదితొమ్మిది సంవత్సరములు యెరూషలేములో ఏలెను. అతని తల్లి జెకర్యా కుమార్తె, ఆమె పేరు అబీయా.

1. Hizkiyahu was twenty-five years old when he began his reign, and he ruled for twenty-nine years in Yerushalayim. His mother's name was Aviyah the daughter of Z'kharyah.

2. అతడు తన పితరుడగు దావీదు చర్యయంతటి ప్రకారము యెహోవా దృష్టికి యథార్థముగా ప్రవర్తించెను.

2. He did what was right from ADONAI's perspective, following the example of everything David his ancestor had done.

3. In the first month of the first year of his reign, he reopened the doors of the house of ADONAI and repaired them.

4. Then he brought in the [cohanim] and [L'vi'im], assembled them in the open space to the east,

5. and said to them, 'Listen to me, [L'vi'im]: consecrate yourselves now, consecrate the house of ADONAI the God of your ancestors, and remove the filth from the Holy Place.

6. మన పితరులు ద్రోహులైమన దేవుడైన యెహోవా దృష్టికి చెడునడతలు నడచి ఆయనను విసర్జించి, ఆయన నివాసమునకు పెడముఖము పెట్టుకొని దానిని అలక్ష్యముచేసిరి.

6. For our ancestors acted treacherously, they did what is evil from the perspective of ADONAI our God, they abandoned him, they turned their faces away from where ADONAI lives and turned their backs on him.

7. They sealed the doors of the vestibule, put out the lamps and stopped burning incense and offering burnt offerings in the Holy Place to the God of Isra'el.

8. Because of this, ADONAI's anger has settled on Y'hudah and Yerushalayim; and he has made them an object of horror, astonishment and mocking- as you can see with your own eyes.

9. కాబట్టి మన తండ్రులు కత్తిచేత పడిరి; మన కుమారులును కుమార్తెలును భార్యలును చెరలోనికి కొనపోబడిరి.

9. Here, our ancestors have fallen by the sword; and on this account our sons, daughters and wives have gone into captivity.

10. ఇప్పుడు మనమీదనున్న ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా మహోగ్రత చల్లారునట్లు ఆయనతో మనము నిబంధన చేయవలెనని నా మనస్సులో అభిలాష పుట్టెను.

10. Now it is in my heart to make a covenant with ADONAI the God of Isra'el, so that his furious anger will turn away from us.

11. నా కుమారులారా, తనకు పరిచారకులైయుండి ధూపము వేయుచుండుటకును, తన సన్నిధిని నిలుచుటకును, తనకు పరిచర్య చేయుటకును యెహోవా మిమ్మును ఏర్పరచుకొనెను గనుక మీరు అశ్రద్ధచేయకుడి.

11. My sons, now is not a time for being negligent; for you are the ones ADONAI chose to stand before him and serve him as his ministers, offering him incense.'

12. అప్పుడు కహాతీయులలో అమాశై కుమారుడైన మహతు అజర్యా కుమారుడైన యోవేలు, మెరారీయులలో అబ్దీ కుమారుడైన కీషు యెహాల్లెలేలు కుమారుడైన అజర్యా, గెర్షోనీయులలో జిమ్మా కుమారుడైన యోవాహు యోవాహు కుమారుడైన ఏదేను

12. Then the [L'vi'im] set about the task- Machat the son of 'Amasai and Yo'el the son of 'Azaryahu from the descendants of the K'hati; of the sons of M'rari, Kish the son of 'Avdi and 'Azaryahu the son of Yehallel'el; of the Gershuni, Yo'ach the son of Zimah and 'Eden the son of Yo'ach;

13. ఎలీషాపాను సంతతి వారిలో షిమీ యెహీయేలు, ఆసాపు కుమారులలో జెకర్యా మత్తన్యా

13. of the descendants of Elitzafan, Shimri and Ye'i'el; of the descendants of Asaf, Z'kharyahu and Matanyahu;

14. హేమాను సంతతివారిలో యెహీయేలు షిమీ, యెదూతూను సంతతివారిలో షెమయా ఉజ్జీయేలు అను లేవీయులు నియమించబడిరి.

14. of the descendants of Heman, Yechi'el and Shim'i; and of the descendants of Y'dutun, Sh'ma'yah and 'Uzi'el.

15. వీరు తమ సహోదరులను సమకూర్చి తమ్మును ప్రతిష్ఠించుకొని యెహోవా మాటలనుబట్టి రాజు ఇచ్చిన ఆజ్ఞచొప్పున యెహోవా మందిరమును పవిత్రపరచుటకు వచ్చిరి.

15. They gathered their kinsmen, consecrated themselves and, in keeping with the king's order and ADONAI's words, went in to cleanse the house of ADONAI.

16. పవిత్రపరచుటకై యాజకులు యెహోవా మందిరపు లోపలి భాగమునకు పోయి యెహోవా మందిరములో తమకు కనబడిన నిషిద్ధవస్తువులన్నిటిని యెహోవా మందిరపు ఆవరణములోనికి తీసికొనిరాగా లేవీయులు వాటిని ఎత్తి కిద్రోను వాగులో పారవేసిరి.

16. The [cohanim] went in to cleanse the inner part of the house of ADONAI; all the unclean things they found in the sanctuary of ADONAI they brought out into the courtyard of the house of ADONAI, where the [L'vi'im] took and carried them out to [Vadi] Kidron.

17. మొదటి నెల మొదటి దినమున వారు ప్రతిష్ఠచేయ నారంభించి, ఆ నెల యెనిమిదవ దినమున యెహోవా మంటపమునకు వచ్చిరి. ఈ ప్రకారము వారు ఎనిమిది దినములు యెహోవా మందిరమును ప్రతిష్ఠించుచు మొదటి నెల పదునారవ దినమున సమాప్తి చేసిరి.

17. They began consecrating on the first day of the first month, and on the eighth day of the month they reached the vestibule of [ADONAI.] Then they consecrated the house of ADONAI in eight more days; so that on the sixteenth day of the first month, they had finished.

18. అప్పుడు వారు రాజైన హిజ్కియాయొద్దకు పోయిమేము యెహోవా మందిరమంతటిని దహన బలిపీఠమును ఉపకరణములన్నిటిని సన్నిధి రొట్టెలుంచు బల్లను పవిత్రపరచి యున్నాము.

18. Then they went to Hizkiyahu the king in [[the palace]] and said, 'We have cleansed all the house of ADONAI, including the altar for burnt offerings, with all its equipment, and the table for the showbread, with all its equipment.

19. మరియు రాజైన ఆహాజు ఏలిన కాలమున అతడు ద్రోహముచేసి పారవేసిన ఉపకరణములన్నిటిని మేము సిద్ధపరచి ప్రతిష్టించియున్నాము, అవి యెహోవా బలిపీఠము ఎదుట ఉన్నవని చెప్పిరి.

19. Moreover, we have reconditioned and consecrated all the articles that King Achaz threw out during his reign, when he was sinning; and they are there, in front of the altar of ADONAI.'

20. అప్పుడు రాజైన హిజ్కియా పెందలకడలేచి, పట్టణపు అధికారులను సమకూర్చుకొని యెహోవా మందిరమునకు పోయెను.

20. Next morning, Hizkiyahu the king got up early, gathered the leading men of the city and went up to the house of ADONAI.

21. రాజ్యముకొరకును పరిశుద్ధస్థలముకొరకును యూదావారికొరకును పాపపరిహారార్థబలి చేయుటకై యేడు కోడెలను ఏడు పొట్టేళ్లను ఏడు గొఱ్ఱెపిల్లలను ఏడు మేకపోతులను వారు తెచ్చియుంచిరి గనుక అతడుయెహోవా బలిపీఠముమీద వాటిని అర్పించుడని అహరోను సంతతివారగు యాజకులకు ఆజ్ఞాపించెను.

21. They brought seven bulls, seven rams, seven lambs and seven male goats as a sin offering for the kingdom, for the sanctuary and for Y'hudah; and he ordered the [cohanim] to offer them on the altar of ADONAI.

22. పరిచార కులు ఆ కోడెలను వధించినప్పుడు యాజకులు వాటి రక్తమును తీసికొని బలిపీఠముమీద ప్రోక్షించిరి. ఆ ప్రకారము వారు పొట్లేళ్లను వధించినప్పుడు యాజకులు ఆ రక్తమును బలిపీఠముమీద ప్రోక్షించిరి. వారు గొఱ్ఱెపిల్లలను వధించినప్పుడు ఆ రక్తమును బలిపీఠముమీద ప్రోక్షించిరి.

22. After slaughtering the bulls, the [cohanim] took the blood and splashed it against the altar. Next, they slaughtered the rams and splashed the blood against the altar and also slaughtered the lambs and splashed the blood against the altar.

23. పాపపరిహారార్థబలికై రాజు ఎదుటికిని సమాజము ఎదుటికిని మేకపోతులను తీసికొనిరాగా, వారు తమ చేతులను వాటిమీద ఉంచిన తరువాత యాజకులు వాటిని వధించి

23. After bringing the male goats for the sin offering close to the king and the assembly and laying their hands on them,

24. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరికొరకు దహనబలియు పాపపరిహారార్థ బలియు అర్పింపవలెనని రాజు ఆజ్ఞాపించి యుండెను గనుక, ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరి నిమిత్తము ప్రాయ శ్చి త్తము చేయుటకై బలిపీఠముమీద వాటి రక్తమును పోసి, పాపపరిహారార్థబలి అర్పించిరి.

24. the [cohanim] slaughtered them and made a sin offering with their blood on the altar to make atonement for all Isra'el; for the king had ordered that the burnt offering and the sin offering should be for all Isra'el.

25. మరియు దావీదును దావీదు రాజుకు దీర్ఘదర్శియైన గాదును ప్రవక్తయైన నాతా నును చేసిన నిర్ణయముచొప్పున యెహోవా మందిరములో తాళములను స్వరమండలములను సితారాలను వాయించుటకై అతడు లేవీయులను ఏర్పాటుచేసెను. ఆలాగు జరుగవలెనని యెహోవా తన ప్రవక్తలద్వారా ఆజ్ఞాపించి యుండెను.

25. He stationed the [L'vi'im] in the house of ADONAI with cymbals, lyres and lutes, in keeping with the order of David, Gad the king's seer and Natan the prophet; for the [mitzvah] had come from ADONAI through his prophets.

26. దావీదు చేయించిన వాద్యములను వాయించు టకు లేవీయులును బూరలు ఊదుటకు యాజకులును నియ మింపబడిరి.

26. The [L'vi'im] stood with the instruments of David and the [cohanim] with the trumpets.

27. బలిపీఠముమీద దహనబలులను అర్పించుడని హిజ్కియా ఆజ్ఞాపించెను. దహనబలి యర్పణ ఆరంభ మగుటతోనే బూరలు ఊదుటతోను ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజైన దావీదు చేయించిన వాద్యములను వాయించుటతోను యెహోవాకు స్తుతి గానము ఆరంభమాయెను.

27. Hizkiyahu ordered that the burnt offering should be offered on the altar. The moment the burnt offering began, the song of ADONAI also began, accompanied by the trumpets and the instruments of David king of Isra'el.

28. అంత సేపును సర్వసమాజము ఆరాధించుచుండెను. గాయకులు పాడుచుండిరి, బూరలు ఊదు వారు నాదముచేయుచుండిరి, దహనబలియర్పణ సమాప్తమగువరకు ఇదియంతయు జరుగుచుండెను.

28. The whole assembly prostrated themselves, the singers sang, and the trumpeters sounded; all this continued until the burnt offering was finished.

29. వారు అర్పించుట ముగించిన తరువాత రాజును అతనితోకూడనున్న వారందరును తమ తలలు వంచి ఆరాధించిరి.

29. When the offering was over, the king and everyone present with him bowed down and prostrated themselves.

30. దావీదును దీర్ఘదర్శియగు ఆసాపును రచించిన శ్లోకములను ఎత్తి యెహోవాను స్తుతించుడని రాజైన హిజ్కియాయును అధిపతులును లేవీయులకు ఆజ్ఞా పింపగా వారు సంతోషముతో స్తోత్రములు పాడి తలవంచి ఆరాధించిరి.

30. Then Hizkiyahu the king and the leaders ordered the [L'vi'im] to sing praises to ADONAI, using the words of David and of Asaf the seer. They sang praises until they were filled with joy, and they bowed their heads and prostrated themselves.

31. అంతట హిజ్కియామీరిప్పుడు యెహోవాకు మిమ్మును ప్రతిష్ఠించుకొంటిరి; దగ్గరకు వచ్చి యెహోవా మందిరములోనికి బలిద్రవ్యములను కృతజ్ఞతార్పణలను తీసి కొనిరండని ఆజ్ఞ ఇయ్యగా సమాజపువారు బలిద్రవ్యములను కృతజ్ఞతార్పణలను తీసికొని వచ్చిరి, దహనబలుల నర్పించుటకు ఎవరికి ఇష్టముపుట్టెనో వారు దహనబలి ద్రవ్యములను తీసికొని వచ్చిరి.

31. Hizkiyahu responded by saying, 'Now that you have consecrated yourselves to ADONAI, come close, and bring sacrifices and thank offerings into the house of ADONAI. So the community brought in sacrifices and thank offerings, and as many as were willing volunteered burnt offerings.

32. సమాజపువారు తీసికొని వచ్చిన దహనబలి పశువులెన్నియనగా, డెబ్బది కోడెలును నూరు పొట్టేళ్లును రెండువందల గొఱ్ఱెపిల్లలును; ఇవి యన్నియు యెహోవాకు దహనబలులుగా తేబడెను.

32. In all, the burnt offerings brought by the congregation totaled 70 bulls, 100 rams and 200 lambs; all these were for a burnt offering to ADONAI.

33. ప్రతిష్ఠింపబడినవి ఆరువందల ఎద్దులును మూడువేల గొఱ్ఱెలును.

33. The consecrated gifts amounted to 600 oxen and 3,000 sheep.

34. యాజకులు కొద్దిగా ఉన్నందున వారు ఆ దహనబలి పశువులన్నిటిని ఒలువలేకపోగా, పని సంపూర్ణ మగువరకు కడమయాజకులు తమ్మును ప్రతిష్ఠించుకొనువరకు వారి సహోదరులగు లేవీయులు వారికి సహాయము చేసిరి; తమ్మును ప్రతిష్ఠించుకొనుటయందు యాజకులకంటె లేవీయులు యథార్థహృదయులై యుండిరి.

34. Only there weren't enough [cohanim] to skin and butcher all the burnt offerings, so their colleagues the [L'vi'im] assisted them until the work was finished and the [cohanim] had consecrated themselves (for the [L'vi'im] had been more diligent to consecrate themselves than the [cohanim]).

35. సమాధాన బలి పశువుల క్రొవ్వును దహనబలి పశువులును దహనబలులకు ఏర్పడిన పానార్పణలును సమృద్ధిగా ఉండెను. ఈలాగున యెహోవా మందిరసేవ క్రమముగా జరిగెను.

35. Besides the abundance of burnt offerings, there was the fat of the peace offerings and drink offerings for each burnt offering. Thus the service of the house of ADONAI was restored.

36. ఈ కార్యము అప్పటికప్పుడే జరిగినందున దేవుడు జనులకు సిద్ధపరచినదానిని చూచి హిజ్కియాయును జనులందరును సంతోషించిరి.

36. Hizkiyahu and all the people rejoiced over what God had prepared for the people, since it had all happened so suddenly.
