1. యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు

1. Thus sayth the Lord, Goe, and buy an earthen bottel of a potter, and take of the ancients of the people, and of the ancients of the Priests,

2. నీవు వెళ్లి కుమ్మరి చేయు మంటి కూజాను కొని, జనుల పెద్దలలో కొందరిని యాజకుల పెద్దలలో కొందరిని పిలుచు కొనిపోయి, హర్సీతు గుమ్మపు ద్వారమునకు ఎదురుగా నున్న బెన్‌హిన్నోము లోయలోనికిపోయి నేను నీతో చెప్పబోవు మాటలు అక్కడ ప్రకటింపుము.

2. And goe forth vnto the valley of Ben-hinnom, which is by the entrie of the East gate: and thou shalt preache there the wordes, that I shall tell thee,

3. నీ విట్లనుము - యూదారాజులారా, యెరూషలేము నివాసులారా, యెహోవా మాట వినుడి; సైన్యములకధిపతియు ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడునగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు ఆలకించుడి, దాని సమాచారము వినువారందరికి చెవులు గింగురుమనునంత కీడును నేను ఈ స్థలము మీదికి రప్పింపబోవుచున్నాను.

3. And shalt say, Heare yee the worde of the Lord, O Kings of Iudah, and inhabitantes of Ierusalem, Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, the God of Israel, Behold, I will bring a plague vpon this place, the which whosoeuer heareth, his eares shall tingle.

4. ఏలయనగా వారు నన్ను విసర్జించి యీ స్థలములో అపచారము చేసి యున్నారు, వారైనను వారి తండ్రులైనను యూదా రాజు లైనను ఎరుగని అన్యదేవతలకు దానిలో ధూపము వేసి నిరపరాధుల రక్తముచేత ఈ స్థలమును నింపిరి

4. Because they haue forsaken me, and prophaned this place, and haue burnt incense in it vnto other gods, whome neyther they, nor their fathers haue knowen, nor the Kings of Iudah (they haue filled this place also with the blood of innocents,

5. నేను విధింపనిదియు సెలవియ్యనిదియు నా మనస్సునకు తోచ నిదియునైన ఆచారము నాచరించిరి; తమ కుమారులను దహనబలులుగా కాల్చుటకై బయలునకు బలిపీఠములను కట్టించిరి.

5. And they haue built the hie places of Baal, to burne their sonnes with fire for burnt offrings vnto Baal, which I commanded not, nor spake it, neither came it into my minde)

6. ఇందునుబట్టి యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చు మాట ఏదనగా రాబోవు దినములలో ఈ స్థలము హత్య లోయ అనబడును గాని తోఫెతు అనియైనను బెన్‌ హిన్నోము లోయ అనియైనను పేరు వాడబడదు.

6. Therefore behold, the dayes come, sayth the Lord, that this place shall no more be called Topheth, nor ye valley of Ben-hinnom, but the valley of slaughter.

7. తమ శత్రువుల యెదుట ఖడ్గముచేతను, తమ ప్రాణములనుతీయ వెదకువారిచేతను వారిని కూలజేసి, ఆకాశ పక్షులకును భూజంతువులకును ఆహారముగా వారి కళే బరములను ఇచ్చి, ఈ స్థలములోనే యూదావారి ఆలోచనను యెరూషలేమువారి ఆలోచనను నేను వ్యర్థము చేసెదను.

7. And I will bring the counsell of Iudah and Ierusalem to nought in this place, and I will cause them to fall by the sword before their enemies, and by the hand of them that seeke their liues: and their carkeises will I giue to be meate for ye foules of the heauen, and to the beastes of the fielde.

8. ఆ మార్గమున పోవు ప్రతివాడును ఆశ్చర్య పడి దానికి కలిగిన యిడుమలన్నిటిని చూచి అపహాస్యము చేయునంతగా ఈ పట్టణమును పాడు గాను అపహాస్యాస్పదముగాను నేను చేసెదను.

8. And I will make this citie desolate and an hissing, so that euery one that passeth thereby, shalbe astonished and hisse because of all ye plagues thereof.

9. వారు తమ కూమారుల మాంసమును తమ కుమార్తెల మాంసమును తినునట్లు చేసెదను; తమ ప్రాణము తీయ వెదకు శత్రువులు తమకు ఇబ్బందికలిగించుటకై వేయు ముట్టడిని బట్టియు దానివలన కలిగిన యిబ్బందినిబట్టియు వారిలో ప్రతివాడు తన చెలికాని మాంసము తినును.

9. And I will feede the with the flesh of their sonnes and with the flesh of their daughters, and euery one shall eate the flesh of his friende in the siege and straitnesse, wherewith their enemies that seeke their liues, shall hold them strait.

10. ఈ మాటలు చెప్పినతరువాత నీతోకూడ వచ్చిన మనుష్యులు చూచుచుండగా నీవు ఆ కూజాను పగులగొట్టి వారితో ఈలాగనవలెను

10. Then shalt thou breake the bottell in the sight of the men that go with thee,

11. సైన్యములకధిపతియగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు మరల బాగుచేయ నశక్యమైన కుమ్మరి పాత్రను ఒకడు పగులగొట్టునట్లు నేను ఈ జనమును ఈ పట్టణమును పగులగొట్ట బోవుచున్నాను; తోఫెతులో పాతిపెట్టుటకు స్థలములేక పోవునంతగా వారు అక్కడనే పాతిపెట్టబడుదురు.

11. And shalt say vnto them, Thus saith ye Lord of hostes, Euen so will I breake this people and this citie, as one breaketh a potters vessell, that cannot be made whole againe, and they shall bury them in Topheth till there be no place to bury.

12. యెహోవా వాక్కు ఇదే ఈ పట్టణమును తోఫెతువంటి స్థలముగా నేను చేయుదును, ఈ స్థలమునకును దాని నివాసులకును నేనాలాగున చేయుదును.

12. Thus will I doe vnto this place, sayth the Lord, and to the inhabitantes thereof, and I will make this citie like Topheth.

13. యెరూషలేము ఇండ్లును యూదారాజుల నగరులును ఆ తోఫెతు స్థలమువలెనే అపవిత్రములగును; ఏ యిండ్లమీద జనులు ఆకాశ సమూహమను దేవతలకు ధూపము వేయుదురో, లేక అన్యదేవతలకు పానార్పణములనర్పించుదురో ఆ యిండ్లన్నిటికి ఆలాగే జరుగును.

13. For the houses of Ierusalem, and the houses of the Kings of Iudah shalbe defiled as the place of Topheth, because of al the houses vpon whose roofes they haue burnt incense vnto all the host of heauen, and haue powred out drinke offerings vnto other gods.

14. ఆ ప్రవచనము చెప్పుటకు యెహోవా తన్ను పంపిన తోఫెతులోనుండి యిర్మీయా వచ్చి యెహోవా మందిరపు ఆవరణములో నిలిచి జనులందరితో ఈలాగు చెప్పెను.

14. Then came Ieremiah from Topheth, where the Lord had sent him to prophecie, and he stood in the court of the Lordes house, and sayde to all the people,

15. సైన్యములకధిపతియు ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడునగు యెహోవా ఈ మాట సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు ఈ జనులు నా మాటలు వినకుండ మొండికి తిరిగియున్నారు గనుక ఈ పట్టణమునుగూర్చి నేను చెప్పిన కీడంతయు దాని మీదికిని దానితో సంబంధించిన పట్టణములన్నిటిమీదికిని రప్పించుచున్నాను.

15. Thus saith the Lord of hostes, the God of Israel, Beholde, I will bring vpon this citie, and vpon all her townes, all the plagues that I haue pronounced against it, because they haue hardened their neckes, and would not heare my wordes.
