1. యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు

1. Then the Lord said to me, Go and get an earthen bottle, the work of the potter, and you shall bring [some] of the elders of the people, and of the priests.

2. నీవు వెళ్లి కుమ్మరి చేయు మంటి కూజాను కొని, జనుల పెద్దలలో కొందరిని యాజకుల పెద్దలలో కొందరిని పిలుచు కొనిపోయి, హర్సీతు గుమ్మపు ద్వారమునకు ఎదురుగా నున్న బెన్‌హిన్నోము లోయలోనికిపోయి నేను నీతో చెప్పబోవు మాటలు అక్కడ ప్రకటింపుము.

2. And you shall go forth to the burial place of the sons of their children, which is at the entrance of the Potsherd Gate; and proclaim there all these words which I shall speak to you.

3. నీ విట్లనుము - యూదారాజులారా, యెరూషలేము నివాసులారా, యెహోవా మాట వినుడి; సైన్యములకధిపతియు ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడునగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు ఆలకించుడి, దాని సమాచారము వినువారందరికి చెవులు గింగురుమనునంత కీడును నేను ఈ స్థలము మీదికి రప్పింపబోవుచున్నాను.

3. And you shall say to them, Hear the word of the Lord, you kings of Judah, and men of Judah, and the dwellers in Jerusalem, and they that enter in by these gates. Thus says the Lord God of Israel: Behold, I [will] bring such a catastrophe upon this place, that the ears of everyone that hears it shall tingle.

4. ఏలయనగా వారు నన్ను విసర్జించి యీ స్థలములో అపచారము చేసి యున్నారు, వారైనను వారి తండ్రులైనను యూదా రాజు లైనను ఎరుగని అన్యదేవతలకు దానిలో ధూపము వేసి నిరపరాధుల రక్తముచేత ఈ స్థలమును నింపిరి

4. Because they forsook Me, and profaned this place, and burned incense in it to strange gods, which they and their fathers knew not; and the kings of Judah have filled this place with innocent blood,

5. నేను విధింపనిదియు సెలవియ్యనిదియు నా మనస్సునకు తోచ నిదియునైన ఆచారము నాచరించిరి; తమ కుమారులను దహనబలులుగా కాల్చుటకై బయలునకు బలిపీఠములను కట్టించిరి.

5. and built high places for Baal, to burn their children in the fire, which things I commanded not, neither did I design [them] in My heart.

6. ఇందునుబట్టి యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చు మాట ఏదనగా రాబోవు దినములలో ఈ స్థలము హత్య లోయ అనబడును గాని తోఫెతు అనియైనను బెన్‌ హిన్నోము లోయ అనియైనను పేరు వాడబడదు.

6. Therefore, behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when this place shall no more be called Tophet, or the fall and burial place of the son of Hinnom, but the burial place of slaughter.

7. తమ శత్రువుల యెదుట ఖడ్గముచేతను, తమ ప్రాణములనుతీయ వెదకువారిచేతను వారిని కూలజేసి, ఆకాశ పక్షులకును భూజంతువులకును ఆహారముగా వారి కళే బరములను ఇచ్చి, ఈ స్థలములోనే యూదావారి ఆలోచనను యెరూషలేమువారి ఆలోచనను నేను వ్యర్థము చేసెదను.

7. And I will destroy the counsel of Judah and the counsel of Jerusalem in this place; and I will cast them down with the sword before their enemies, and by the hands of them that seek their lives. And I will give their dead bodies for food to the birds of the sky, and to the wild beasts of the earth.

8. ఆ మార్గమున పోవు ప్రతివాడును ఆశ్చర్య పడి దానికి కలిగిన యిడుమలన్నిటిని చూచి అపహాస్యము చేయునంతగా ఈ పట్టణమును పాడు గాను అపహాస్యాస్పదముగాను నేను చేసెదను.

8. And I will bring this city to desolation and [make it] a hissing: everyone that passes by it shall scowl, and hiss because of all her plagues.

9. వారు తమ కూమారుల మాంసమును తమ కుమార్తెల మాంసమును తినునట్లు చేసెదను; తమ ప్రాణము తీయ వెదకు శత్రువులు తమకు ఇబ్బందికలిగించుటకై వేయు ముట్టడిని బట్టియు దానివలన కలిగిన యిబ్బందినిబట్టియు వారిలో ప్రతివాడు తన చెలికాని మాంసము తినును.

9. And they shall eat the flesh of their sons, and the flesh of their daughters; and they shall eat, everyone the flesh of his neighbor in the blockade, and in the siege with which their enemies shall besiege them.

10. ఈ మాటలు చెప్పినతరువాత నీతోకూడ వచ్చిన మనుష్యులు చూచుచుండగా నీవు ఆ కూజాను పగులగొట్టి వారితో ఈలాగనవలెను

10. And you shall break the bottle in the sight of the men that go forth with you,

11. సైన్యములకధిపతియగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు మరల బాగుచేయ నశక్యమైన కుమ్మరి పాత్రను ఒకడు పగులగొట్టునట్లు నేను ఈ జనమును ఈ పట్టణమును పగులగొట్ట బోవుచున్నాను; తోఫెతులో పాతిపెట్టుటకు స్థలములేక పోవునంతగా వారు అక్కడనే పాతిపెట్టబడుదురు.

11. and you shall say, Thus says the Lord, Thus will I break in pieces this people, and this city, even as an earthen vessel is broken in pieces which cannot be mended again.

12. యెహోవా వాక్కు ఇదే ఈ పట్టణమును తోఫెతువంటి స్థలముగా నేను చేయుదును, ఈ స్థలమునకును దాని నివాసులకును నేనాలాగున చేయుదును.

12. Thus will I do to this place, says the Lord, and to the inhabitants of it, that this city may be given up, as one that is falling to ruin.

13. యెరూషలేము ఇండ్లును యూదారాజుల నగరులును ఆ తోఫెతు స్థలమువలెనే అపవిత్రములగును; ఏ యిండ్లమీద జనులు ఆకాశ సమూహమను దేవతలకు ధూపము వేయుదురో, లేక అన్యదేవతలకు పానార్పణములనర్పించుదురో ఆ యిండ్లన్నిటికి ఆలాగే జరుగును.

13. And the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Judah shall be as a ruinous place, because of their uncleanness in all the houses, in which they burnt incense upon their roofs to all the host of heaven, and poured [out] drink offerings to strange gods.

14. ఆ ప్రవచనము చెప్పుటకు యెహోవా తన్ను పంపిన తోఫెతులోనుండి యిర్మీయా వచ్చి యెహోవా మందిరపు ఆవరణములో నిలిచి జనులందరితో ఈలాగు చెప్పెను.

14. And Jeremiah came from Tophet, where the Lord had sent him to prophesy; and he stood in the court of the Lord's house. And said to all the people, Thus says the Lord:

15. సైన్యములకధిపతియు ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడునగు యెహోవా ఈ మాట సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు ఈ జనులు నా మాటలు వినకుండ మొండికి తిరిగియున్నారు గనుక ఈ పట్టణమునుగూర్చి నేను చెప్పిన కీడంతయు దాని మీదికిని దానితో సంబంధించిన పట్టణములన్నిటిమీదికిని రప్పించుచున్నాను.

15. Behold I bring upon this city, and upon all the cities belonging to it, and upon the villages of it, all the doom which I have spoken against it, because they have hardened their neck, [that they might not] hearken to My commands.
