1. యూదుల అధికారియైన నీకొదేమను పరిసయ్యు డొకడుండెను.

1. I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

2. అతడు రాత్రియందు ఆయనయొద్దకు వచ్చి బోధకుడా, నీవు దేవునియొద్దనుండి వచ్చిన బోధ కుడవని మే మెరుగుదుము; దేవుడతనికి తోడైయుంటేనే గాని నీవు చేయుచున్న సూచకక్రి¸

2. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit, he takes it away: and every [branch] that bears fruit, he cleanses it, that it may bear more fruit.

3. అందుకు యేసు అతనితోఒకడు క్రొత్తగా జన్మించితేనే కాని అతడు దేవుని రాజ్యమును చూడలేడని నీతో నిశ్చయముగా చెప్పు చున్నాననెను.

3. Already you+ are clean because of the word which I have spoken to you+.

4. అందుకు నీకొదేము ముసలి వాడైన మనుష్యుడేలాగు జన్మింపగలడు? రెండవమారు తల్లి గర్బమందు ప్రవేశించి జన్మింపగలడా అని ఆయనను అడుగగా

4. Stay in me, and I in you+. As the branch can't bear fruit of itself, except it stays in the vine; so neither can you+, except you+ stay in me.

5. యేసు ఇట్లనెను ఒకడు నీటిమూలముగాను ఆత్మమూలము గాను జన్మించితేనేగాని దేవుని రాజ్యములో ప్రవేశింప లేడని నీతో నిశ్చయముగా చెప్పుచున్నాను.

5. I am the vine, you+ are the branches: He who stays in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit: for apart from me you+ can do nothing.

6. శరీర మూలముగా జన్మించినది శరీరమును ఆత్మమూలముగా జన్మించినది ఆత్మయునై యున్నది.

6. If a man does not stay in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

7. మీరు క్రొత్తగా జన్మింపవలెనని నేను నీతో చెప్పినందుకు ఆశ్చర్యపడవద్దు.

7. If you+ stay in me, and my words stay in you+, ask whatever you+ will, and it will be done to you+.

8. గాలి తన కిష్టమైన చోటను విసరును; నీవు దాని శబ్దము విందువేగాని అది యెక్కడనుండి వచ్చునో యెక్కడికి పోవునో నీకు తెలియదు. ఆత్మమూలముగా జన్మించిన ప్రతివాడును ఆలాగే యున్నాడనెను.

8. In this is my Father glorified, that you+ may bear much fruit and may be my disciples.

9. అందుకు నీకొదేము ఈ సంగతులేలాగు సాధ్యములని ఆయనను అడుగగా

9. Even as the Father has loved me, I also have loved you+: stay+ in my love.

10. యేసు ఇట్లనెను నీవు ఇశ్రాయేలుకు బోధకుడవై యుండి వీటిని ఎరుగవా?

10. If you+ keep my commandments, you+ will stay in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and stay in his love.

11. మేము ఎరిగిన సంగతియే చెప్పుచున్నాము, చూచినదానికే సాక్ష్యమిచ్చుచున్నాము, మా సాక్ష్యము మీరంగీకరింపరని నీతో నిశ్చయముగా చెప్పుచున్నాను.

11. These things I have spoken to you+, that my joy may be in you+, and [that] your+ joy may be made full.

12. భూసంబంధమైన సంగతులు నేను మీతో చెప్పితే మీరు నమ్మకున్నప్పుడు, పరలోకసంబంధ మైనవి మీతో చెప్పినయెడల ఏలాగు నమ్ముదురు?

12. This is my commandment, that you+ love one another, even as I have loved you+.

13. మరియు పరలోకమునుండి దిగివచ్చినవాడే, అనగా పరలోకములో ఉండు మనుష్యకుమారుడే తప్ప పరలోకము నకు ఎక్కిపోయిన వాడెవడును లేడు.

13. Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

14. అరణ్యములో మోషే సర్పమును ఏలాగు ఎత్తెనో,
సంఖ్యాకాండము 21:9

14. You+ are my friends, if you+ do the things which I command you+.

15. ఆలాగే విశ్వసించు ప్రతివాడును నశింపక ఆయన ద్వారా నిత్యజీవము పొందునట్లు మనుష్యకుమారుడు ఎత్తబడవలెను.

15. No longer do I call you+ slaves; for the slave doesn't know what his lord does: but I have called you+ friends; for all things that I heard from my Father, I have made known to you+.

16. దేవుడు లోకమును ఎంతో ప్రేమించెను. కాగా ఆయన తన అద్వితీయకుమారునిగా పుట్టిన వానియందు విశ్వాసముంచు ప్రతివాడును నశింపక నిత్యజీవము పొందునట్లు ఆయనను అనుగ్రహించెను.

16. You+ did not choose me, but I chose you+, and appointed you+, that you+ should go and bear fruit, and [that] your+ fruit should stay: that whatever you+ will ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you+.

17. లోకము తన కుమారుని ద్వారా రక్షణ పొందుటకేగాని లోకమునకు తీర్పు తీర్చుటకు దేవుడాయనను లోకములోనికి పంప లేదు.

17. These things I command you+, that you+ may love one another.

18. ఆయనయందు విశ్వాసముంచువానికి తీర్పు తీర్చబడదు; విశ్వసింపనివాడు దేవుని అద్వితీయకుమారుని నామమందు విశ్వాస ముంచలేదు గనుక వానికి ఇంతకు మునుపే తీర్పు తీర్చబడెను.

18. If the world hates you+, you+ know that it has hated me before [it hated] you+.

19. ఆ తీర్పు ఇదే; వెలుగు లోకములోనికి వచ్చెను గాని తమ క్రియలు చెడ్డవైనందున మనుష్యులు వెలుగును ప్రేమింపక చీకటినే ప్రేమించిరి.

19. If you+ were of the world, the world would love its own: but because you+ are not of the world, but I chose you+ out of the world, therefore the world hates you+.

20. దుష్కార్యము చేయు ప్రతివాడు వెలుగును ద్వేషించును, తన క్రియలు దుష్‌క్రియలుగా కనబడకుండునట్లు వెలుగునొద్దకు రాడు.

20. Remember the word that I said to you+, A slave is not greater than his lord. If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you+; if they kept my word, they will keep yours+ also.

21. సత్యవర్తనుడైతే తన క్రియలు దేవుని మూలముగా చేయబడియున్నవని ప్రత్యక్షపరచ బడునట్లు వెలుగునొద్దకు వచ్చును.

21. But all these things they will do to you+ for my name's sake, because they don't know him who sent me.

22. అటు తరువాత యేసు తన శిష్యులతో కూడ యూదయ దేశమునకు వచ్చి అక్కడ వారితో కాలము గడుపుచు బాప్తిస్మమిచ్చుచు ఉండెను.

22. If I had not come and spoken to them, they had not had sin: but now they have no excuse for their sin.

23. సలీము దగ్గర నున్న ఐనోనను స్థలమున నీళ్లు విస్తారముగా ఉండెను గనుక యోహాను కూడ అక్కడ బాప్తిస్మమిచ్చుచు ఉండెను; జనులు వచ్చి బాప్తిస్మముపొందిరి.

23. He who hates me hates my Father also.

24. యోహాను ఇంకను చెరసాలలో వేయబడియుండ లేదు.

24. If I had not done among them the works which none other did, they had not had sin: but now they have both seen and hated both me and my Father.

25. శుద్ధీకరణాచారమును గూర్చి యోహాను శిష్యులకు ఒక యూదునితో వివాదము పుట్టెను.

25. But [this comes to pass], that the word may be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.

26. గనుక వారు యోహాను నొద్దకు వచ్చిబోధకుడా, యెవడు యొర్దానుకు అవతల నీతో కూడ ఉండెనో, నీ వెవనిగూర్చి సాక్ష్యమిచ్చితివో, యిదిగో, ఆయన బాప్తిస్మ మిచ్చుచున్నాడు; అందరు ఆయనయొద్దకు వచ్చు చున్నారని అతనితో చెప్పిరి.

26. When the Supporter has come, whom I will send to you+ from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness of me:

27. అందుకు యోహాను ఇట్లనెను తనకు పరలోకమునుండి అనుగ్రహింపబడితేనేగాని యెవడును ఏమియు పొంద నేరడు.

27. and you+ also bear witness, because you+ have been with me from the beginning.
