1. వెండికి గని గలదు పుటమువేయు సువర్ణమునకు స్థలము గలదు.

1. 'We all know how silver seams the rocks, we've seen the stuff from which gold is refined,

2. ఇనుమును మంటిలోనుండి తీయుదురు రాళ్లు కరగించి రాగి తీయుదురు.

2. We're aware of how iron is dug out of the ground and copper is smelted from rock.

3. మనుష్యులు చీకటికి అంతము కలుగజేయుదురు గాఢాంధకారములోను మరణాంధకారములోను ఉండు రత్నములను వెదకుచు వారు భూమ్యంతముల వరకు సంచరింతురు.

3. Miners penetrate the earth's darkness, searching the roots of the mountains for ore, digging away in the suffocating darkness.

4. జనులు తిరుగు స్థలములకు చాల దిగువగా మనుష్యులు సొరంగము త్రవ్వుదురు వారు పైసంచరించువారిచేత మరువబడుదురు అచ్చట వారు మానవులకు దూరముగానుండి ఇటు అటు అల్లాడుచుందురు.

4. Far from civilization, far from the traffic, they cut a shaft, and are lowered into it by ropes.

5. భూమినుండి ఆహారము పుట్టును దాని లోపలిభాగము అగ్నిమయమైనట్లుండును.

5. Earth's surface is a field for grain, but its depths are a forge

6. దాని రాళ్లు నీలరత్నములకు స్థానము దానిలో సువర్ణమయమైన రాళ్లున్నవి.

6. Firing sapphires from stones and chiseling gold from rocks.

7. ఆ త్రోవ యే క్రూరపక్షికైనను తెలియదు డేగ కన్నులు దాని చూడలేదు

7. Vultures are blind to its riches, hawks never lay eyes on it.

8. గర్వముగల క్రూర జంతువులు దాని త్రొక్కలేదు. సింహము ఆ మార్గమున నడవలేదు

8. Wild animals are oblivious to it, lions don't know it's there.

9. మనుష్యులు స్ఫటికమువంటి బండను పట్టుకొందురు పర్వతములను వాటి కుదుళ్ల సహితముగా బోర్ల ద్రోయుదురు.

9. Miners hammer away at the rock, they uproot the mountains.

10. బండలలో వారు బాటలు కొట్టుదురు వారి కన్ను అమూల్యమైన ప్రతి వస్తువును చూచును.

10. They tunnel through the rock and find all kinds of beautiful gems.

11. నీళ్లు ఓడిగిలిపోకుండ వారు జలధారలకు గట్టు కట్టు దురు మరుగైయున్న వస్తువును వారు వెలుగులోనికి తెప్పించు దురు

11. They discover the origins of rivers, and bring earth's secrets to light.

12. అయితే జ్ఞానము ఎక్కడ దొరకును? వివేచన దొరకు స్థలము ఎక్కడ నున్నది?

12. 'But where, oh where, will they find Wisdom? Where does Insight hide?

13. నరులు దాని విలువను ఎరుగరు ప్రాణులున్న దేశములో అది దొరకదు.

13. Mortals don't have a clue, haven't the slightest idea where to look.

14. అగాధము అది నాలో లేదనును సముద్రమునాయొద్ద లేదనును.

14. Earth's depths say, 'It's not here'; ocean deeps echo, 'Never heard of it.'

15. సువర్ణము దానికి సాటియైనది కాదు దాని విలువకొరకై వెండి తూచరాదు.

15. It can't be bought with the finest gold; no amount of silver can get it.

16. అది ఓఫీరు బంగారమునకైనను విలువగల గోమేధికమునకైనను నీలమునకైనను కొనబడునది కాదు.

16. Even famous Ophir gold can't buy it, not even diamonds and sapphires.

17. సువర్ణమైనను స్ఫటికమైనను దానితో సాటికావు ప్రశస్తమైన బంగారు నగలకు ప్రతిగా అది ఇయ్యబడదు.

17. Neither gold nor emeralds are comparable; extravagant jewelry can't touch it.

18. పగడముల పేరు ముత్యముల పేరు దానియెదుట ఎత్తనేకూడదు. జ్ఞానసంపాద్యము కెంపులకన్న కోరతగినది

18. Pearl necklaces and ruby bracelets--why bother? None of this is even a down payment on Wisdom!

19. కూషుదేశపు పుష్యరాగము దానితో సాటికాదు. శుద్ధసువర్ణమునకు కొనబడునది కాదు.

19. Pile gold and African diamonds as high as you will, they can't hold a candle to Wisdom.

20. అట్లైన జ్ఞానము ఎక్కడనుండి వచ్చును? వివేచన దొరకు స్థలమెక్కడ నున్నది?

20. 'So where does Wisdom come from? And where does Insight live?

21. అది సజీవులందరి కన్నులకు మరుగై యున్నది ఆకాశపక్షులకు మరుగుచేయబడి యున్నది.

21. It can't be found by looking, no matter how deep you dig, no matter how high you fly.

22. మేము చెవులార దానిగూర్చిన వార్త వింటిమని నాశన మును మరణమును అనును.

22. If you search through the graveyard and question the dead, they say, 'We've only heard rumors of it.'

23. దేవుడే దాని మార్గమును గ్రహించును దాని స్థలము ఆయనకే తెలియును.

23. 'God alone knows the way to Wisdom, he knows the exact place to find it.

24. ఆయన భూమ్యంతములవరకు చూచుచున్నాడు. ఆకాశము క్రింది దానినంతటిని తెలిసికొనుచున్నాడు.

24. He knows where everything is on earth, he sees everything under heaven.

25. గాలికి ఇంత బరువు ఉండవలెనని ఆయన నియమించి నప్పుడు ప్రమాణమునుబట్టి జలములకు ఇంత కొలతయని ఆయన వాటిని కొలిచి చూచినప్పుడు

25. After he commanded the winds to blow and measured out the waters,

26. వర్షమునకు కట్టడ నియమించినప్పుడు ఉరుముతో కూడిన మెరుపునకు మార్గము ఏర్పరచినప్పుడు

26. Arranged for the rain and set off explosions of thunder and lightning,

27. ఆయన దాని చూచి బయలుపరచెను దానిని స్థాపనచేసి దాని పరిశోధించెను.

27. He focused on Wisdom, made sure it was all set and tested and ready.

28. మరియు యెహోవాయందలి భయభక్తులే జ్ఞాన మనియు దుష్టత్వము విడచుటయే వివేకమనియు ఆయన నరులకు సెలవిచ్చెను.

28. Then he addressed the human race: 'Here it is! Fear-of-the-Lord--that's Wisdom, and Insight means shunning evil.''
